Why are People complaining about China?

Just wondering as 90% of what we buy is made in there, of course under brutal conditions %26amp; terrible pay,





We are contributing to their rise, yet why are we being hypocrites?

The support the troops magnets and the made in China US Flags are fading
Reply:I don't believe you're asking this question. They have a record of human rights violations which is at least as bad if not worse than that of the USA.


Why people in the 'west' continue to buy their goods is beyond me.


Hypocrisy rules. It's simply a question of 'I'm all right Jack,' please don't bother me with humanitarian and ethical problems.
Reply:i dunno but i get annoyed sometimes because im half-chinese and yes they are brutal at work and not enough pay but if you grew up there you would understand it isnt an easy life-i.e all schools strict (If anyone watched chinese school on tv lastnight on BBC you would know what im on bout)

Reply:Human Rights abuse. Where have you been, Kind of complicated, but China owns a lot of out treasury bonds, so we buy buy buy buy buy Chinese Goods.

If this bunch spoil my enjoyment of the olympics with their stupid "protests" I will not be a happy bunny.





Surely it's none of our business what happens in Tibet?

Reply:Hi.....when you watch programs about Chine, you realise what a terrible life a huge portion of the country have.


A lot of people accept the conditions, as they know no better and lived in a country that you did not answer back.





Chibi I did see the program last night about china's schools, that is like a prison not a school. The worst bit was when the little 7 yr old was berated in front of the class, for making holes in his rubber !!!

He added that he had told the Tibetan people not to think in terms of history and to accept Tibet as a part of China.





I don`t know what the fuss is about! It is for China and Tibet to sort out their own problems.





If the protestors really want to put over their grievances, why don`t they board a plane and go and protest in Tibet!!





Ah, thought not! It would be too dangerous! Lets just cause havoc in democratic countries who won`t shoot us or imprison us!!





So much for the depth of their convictions!!

I try not to buy anything - food or goods - that are imported from anywhere as much as possible.
Reply:Yes, an economic boycott would be more effective and more meaningful, but I can't see it happening. We like our cheap gadgets and cheap clothes!

Hillary will not quit until the nominee is picked in Denver.Even if she loses she still will not quit. Her obsession to be President will outlive this election should Obama win the nomination. If he does win, he can expect not only zero support from the Clinton machine but probably active opposition. Hillary will begin her campaign to be the nominee in four years on day one after the convention. Her desire to see Obama fail will remind us all of the old saying 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'.

Reply:because on the one hand, we said we are civilised and protective of the weak and fragile (those under inhuman condition), and on the other hand, kept encouraging it to happen by being the consumer of their products.





There is one more thing, we sent out troops to Iraq which is in no way part of Britain and killed their civilians, and yet, we said China is so inhuman by extending their troops to Tibet which has always been an autonomous region of the country.





Who respects human rights more??
Reply:China is a superpower and can bankrupt the U.S. by just recalling their debt. It is only a matter of time.
