Why does 99% people in the world think China is communist country?

1. The land price here was already risen to 2000 US dollars per square meter, which means all my deposit in the bank can only buy a toliet, for now.

2. But the land is still the government's, I can only use it for 70 years, after 70 years, If I'm still alive or I have any child, we have to pay for the real estate again.....I live in a second class city near Shanghai, second class, imagine Shanghai's price.

3. My parents hand on the tax to the government, they use it on themselves.......the primary school tuition is NOT free, not to mention junior high and high school.

4. If I'm diagnosed with severe disease, I can straight wait death...the government won't pay me anything, there's no warefare for "the masses".

I've never "communized" with anything in my life, then why do you think China is communist country?...China is fedual+ primitive capitalism.

Why does 99% people in the world think China is communist country?
Communism as a state system never existed even in the Soviet Union. It was always an aim to reach. And people were contantly brainwashed inside the USSR that they ought to work for a common goal, common ideas, common identity, common future. Where everyone is equally happy. And no one is jealous. It is a propagandist term all by itself.

For Western people this word is a synonym of "BAD". It's a psychological leftover of the 60 years when everyone was living in the shadow of a possible nuclear collapse. The Eastern people also have such a word for the USA, Europe and the rest of the developed countries - capitalism - and it also means "BAD". That's because your grandparents were taught so, your parents were taught so and that's what they tell their kids now.

If you were a person from the post-Soviet area, you'd think that China is no more communist than a mentally-impaired person that goes like a duck and quacks like a duck is in fact a damned duck. Ideology has nothing to do with the reality of political and economic mechanisms. State regulated economy exists for decades in many European countries like Sweden, for example, but no one calls them communists. And percieving China as "communist" is also an ideological cliche.

Besides, understanding China is like understanding Russia - it has no logical explanation when you live there. You can only feel it.

So it's always easier to put your own simple tag on something you can't explain, and something that well inside yourself gives birth to fear. That's why China is and will be considered as "communist", and if I were in the Chinese government I'd want everyone to think exactly this way.
Reply:1. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck it is one.

2. They still are. They may have free markets, but they are still communist run. People are only allowed to have 1 child. The government distributes forced abortions.
Reply:Because the other 1% have their eyes closed.
Reply:China is a "communist" country because of state land ownership plus a single legal political party.
Reply:Bad education + ignorance (an old tradition acquired by the Americans from the Britons).

I don't think China is a Communist country. Communism never existed in any country, it's an utopia.

By the way, USA is slow leaning towards Socialism: public welfare already costs up to 33% of state budgets. Government and education jobs are well-protected, just like in ol'good USSR.

I see here, only we, people from former "commie" countries are able to compare REALITIES.

The others are living in an atmosphere of lucid dreams injected by some sort of local Politburo.
Reply:becaues it still is a communist country.
Reply:It is a Communist country!
Reply:So is China being democratized then? Great. Hopefully some of the human rights of democracy will find their way into China.

We refer to China as communist because of the takeover of the people, their property, their religion and their lives. So you are saying they aren't taking care of the people?

That's because communism does not work.
Reply:FOr the same reason they think the US is a democracy instead of a republic: PROPAGANDA.

PLus communist is an easier word to demonize than "primitive feudalistic capitalism"
Reply:Hmm...because it is a communist country.

Look up the definition of communism. That will tell you a lot.
Reply:Communism in theory is one thing.

What it becomes in practice is what you have.

Sorry to say that China is an example of why trying to do communism is a very bad idea.

I'm sure you are of the opinion that real communism would actualy be better than what you have but, I'm afraid that will never happen.
Reply:If they want to believe China is communist it is saying that communism is very successful. America has to borrow money from China because it has become economically very strong. Communism must be ok then. seems to work!

It is up to you and all Chinese people to make sure that they

get the benefit of the wealth. You have worked for it

You must have your share
Reply:You are a victim of a brutal government and its elite . I understand only two classes exist . Rich and Poor with nothing in the middle and no hope of becoming rich ever .

The poor can never become rich although the rich can make someone poor who was once rich if they want .

People have the wrong Idea ,about Communism all together anyhow, and look upon it as a bad thing .

Not everything needs to turn a profit .

Workers need to be paid but a profit is not and should not be the goal of all services .

How much longer can China produce as it currently does today without running into supply issues .

Mass production and cheap goods only serve a wasteful society .

We need handcrafted quality goods that last and not disposable goods .
Reply:does anyone know what is communism?
Reply:Because it is...

Remember; Tiananmen Square?
Reply:Most nations have complex political systems which people try to sum up in one word or sentence. In the US, most people polled say we have a democracy when nothing could be further from the truth (our country was never intended to be a democracy). China is a feudal system. The government has taken away all social policies and moved toward a free market system for years. The living and working conditions for most workers are deplorable yet the government will not let outside reporters in to see these conditions. China is also not a monolithic country as most westerners believe. There are many Chinas . . . the large cities are much different than the rural areas, the different provinces have their own languages and cultures, there are distinct peoples within China but under one rule. The government will do whatever it takes to keep this system together yet the workers will demand better conditions at some point. You cannot continue to have wealth for a few and deplorable conditions for the many.
Reply:China is a totalitarian regime. Nothing more, nothing less.
Reply:They are miseducated.
Reply:Chinagirl say it is the left overs from all of the Chairman Mao stuff. We still have his picture in Tienanmen Square.

The reality is that Chinese people are very greedy for money and absolutely not share it with anyone. Chinese also go for being in business for themselves and cheat on wages and taxes all the time!

So, they are even more capitalist than Meggouren people (Americans)
Reply:There is not now, nor has there ever been a pure Communist governent. China still has a government ruled by the Communist party thus it is a Communist government. The economic system of China was Communist but has been moving toward capitalism. Where that combination would not work in most countries it seems the resiliance of the Chinese make it work. I only hope that eventually the totalitarianism of the Communist regime can be replaced with a more democratic system soon. Perhaps if enough Chinese people get into free market enterprise and capitalism that will change.
Reply:I think you folks need more opium. I hear Afghanistan has an abundance --- enjoy.
Reply:They are a communist country in name only. In the same sense that Nazi Germany were "national socialists". Basically, an authoritarian regime operating at the ideological extremes where there really isn't much distinction between "communism" and "fascism".
Reply:I think the fact that the government owns all land, even after you "purchase" it indicates the communist nature of the Chinese government.........
