English Bone China?

I've always wanted it since I was a kid. I went to an English store near me %26amp; the

Red Rose Teapot, 2 cups %26amp; saucers with a milk %26amp; sugar holder was only $200. Is that a good deal? I thought a set went for alot more

English Bone China?
If you are talking about 'Royal Albert....Old Country Roses' then yes it would be far too much to pay..... It is a beautiful pattern but the cost in the UK is far far less than that.

Best wishes, Mike.
Reply:SOUNDS A BIT PRICEY

HAVE A GOOD LOOK AROUND

also check out your local auction rooms they often have them at a better price.
Reply:Sounds rather a lot to me but I may be wrong,I feel sure you can buy a lot cheaper.

The thing to look for is Porcelain and look at brands english brands like Wedgewood and Royal Dalton etc

Wikipedia which is a english encyclopeadia reference should help you

Then when you come to England prefereably during sale time like Christmas you can get great deals at low cost and the items and brand you want....

I do agree Bone China is brilliant and can give alot of pleasure so do some planning about what you like as there are different tastes variety and fashion dates and so on and then come to Harrods during the sale...

A whole Royal Dalton set will go for about 100 pound during Harrod sale and its packaged really well and from Harrods !

Porcelain is also available at Debenhams!!!
Reply:It sounds pretty good to me. China is much cheaper in England than in the states. My mom bought a lot of it when we lived there briefly growing up.

The main thing is if that set is really what you want, is a price you are willing to pay? You're not buying it for an investment, you're buying it because you REALLY want it and have for a long time.
