Do I have to work-cite information in my thesis?

It came from my text book and we also learned it in class but I currently can't remember if thats a rule or not...Thesis:

In the 19th century, imperialism in Asia was growing rapidly. India, whom was ruled and conquered previously by a British company called East India trading company, was soon taken over by Britain directly. . Britain began to reform India with new political ideas and racism from British officials was even more prevalent in India. In China, they were being humiliated again and again by Europe, first with opium conquering their daily lives and next were unequal treaties with Europe after refusing to deal with foreigners from then on. Both countries were beginning to fight back even harder, stirring reform and change into its own people, yet China failed to gain any real organized nationalism while India strived to become independent again. Why couldn’t China rise to nationalism like India did?

Do I have to work-cite information in my thesis?
Not sure, but I think you have to site where you got any type of information.
Reply:Yes, you should cite your information, if you are using Chicago or Turabian style then you can put a superscript at the end of the paragraph if you got all your information from the same place.

You also have some verb confusion and grammatical errors in your paragraph just so you know.
