Does China secretly have three time zones?

In Beijing the sun rises at 5:10 am, and in Urumqi it rises at 5:55 am. Yet, time zone wise Urumqi should be three hours behind Beijing so the sun should rise at about 8 am in Urumqi. Is there really three official time zones?

No that is exactly how time zones are supposed to work. If they did not work like that then sunrise would be about noon over most of the USA, and about three o'clock in the morning in Australia.There is no secret involved here!
