Is the United Nations or the US going to help those devestated by the massive earthquake that hit China?

I saw on yahoo that China was hit by a massive earthquake and thousands are reported dead and the death toll could rise even further. Is there anything that the United Nations or the United States can do to help in this situation?

Knowing the U.S we are probably all ready on the way.

Makes me sick that the U.S will jump on helping another country but they ignore the problems going on in this country.
Reply:The U.S. can help China by stop trying to get away with the debt by forcing China to raise currency value while making USD decrease in value.

1 year ago(for over 10 years)

1USD = 8.3 Yuan

2008

1USD = 6.9 Yuan

The U.S. already got away with over 15% of the debt that it owe China, and this number will be doubled, or tripled, soon...

Sneaky, cheap way to borrow money and not giving back the same value. Can't believe many Americans were blaming China for "stealing" jobs, while they are in fact using "free" stuff from China.
Reply:Today's Chinese government and its people can do a far much better job by itself without foreign aid. The place that needs most aid is this country, which is going down to the drain by its high gas and food price under a severe recession.
Reply:They should be helped by the US as much as the US was helped by China after Hurricane Katrina. And don't give me China is a third world, poor country either.
Reply:They should be helped honestly.
