Will China and Korea make Anime like Japan? OPINION?

The Chinese economy is rising really fast and will probably catch up to some western nations in 2050 as in per capita GDP. Korea is rising fast and it already has a great economy. If you see Chinese and Korean animation, it looks a lot like Anime, just not as famous and as much. But as the two's economy rises, will they start to make more Anime that will be known?

Reply:There are quite a few Chinese and Korean anime that is just as good as Japanese anime. It's actually often mistaken for Japanese animation.
Reply:I hope not. That stuff blows. They should come up with better stuff than that.
Reply:Lilo and Stitch is done mostly by koreans, if you ever watch the credits they almost all have korean last names.
Reply:um you're right but im dont really think so
Reply:Korea has good animation, actually. The Simpsons is done by Korean animators.

Mainland China won't make anime as interesting as Japan until they politically reform. Anime often deals with controversial topics that wouldn't be approved by the Chinese Communist Party. It requires a freedom of expression that China does not currently have.

Hopefully things will change for the better.
