Good decent Chinese People - Why dont you pressurise your gov. to leave Tibet, you will build a greater China?

The Tibetans are harmless defenceless god fearing people, never have been a threat to anybody. And you Chinese are ready to take your place as one of the leading countries in this world, you have economic and military strength. Don’t you want the immense respect the world will give you if you give up Tibet ?





And what will you lose ? Strategic defence against India ? Is India strong enough to harass you anyway ? Is India not thinking like China and concentrating on eco issues. You need have no fear of India.





What else will you lose, money ? Trade ? How much ? Nothing – you will make it up elsewhere.





If you invite the Dalai Lama, ask his forgiveness and give him his place the world will say – a stronger man is asking for forgiveness – the world will exhalt you Chinese to a position where no money and no military strength will ever take you.





Don’t you Chinese dream of the rise of the middle Kingdom ? Leave Tibet – and you will conquer the world.

dominating such a helpless nation and denying it's people their basic human rights is a disgrace from a country that wants to be a great power





mind you, they have human rights issues a plenty to deal with within china, but this would be a good place to start
Reply:A nice thought. But I think the last time anyone tried to pressurize china was at tianimin square. The results weren't too good.





Oh, and much as I love chinese food, I don't think china will "conquer the world" by leaving Tibet or any other way.

and for china which include almost56 nations in one country,to build the authority is much more important for our gov than in other country like US
Reply:Your ignorant of Tibetan history. Read about that and you can't say that Tibetans have never done anything. They used to be a huge power. Tibetan monks carry knives on them and sometimes they threaten Chinese tourists. In the past their perverted form of Buddhism involved monks having lots of sex. They also had slaves. That doesn't seems spiritual to me. Why should anyone tell the Chinese what to do when our countries did that in the past. Everyone oos and aas about Tibet, but the good features of Tibet culture were just imported. The potala was built by Chinese architects and workers. Buddhism is from India.





Perhaps Tibet is weak now and should have its freedom, but the typical western obsession with Tibet is sickeningly naive.
