How do you feel about the rise of China, and Asia surpassing the USA in global power?

Eventually China's economy will be greater than US. Probably in the next 25 years. Along with that Asia, it will probably have more influence on the world than any other region. What's your take? Keep it short, please.

How do you feel about the rise of China, and Asia surpassing the USA in global power?
The power had to shift eventually!The U.S.has been running things for about 2 hundred years.Those other nations are acient,1000's of years old .So they don't like being pushed by an infant nation!But we can compete if we start putting more money into education,in small businesses,and start producing products that will out compete their competitors in the global market.
Reply:While sooner or later the US won't be the same world power it is now, take some time and listen to 1980s music. About half the songs from American artist spoke of our concern that the Russian would bomb us and the Japanees would buy us. China's really warped combination of a free market economy with at communist government give China a unique opportunity that no one else has had, I'm not worried.
Reply:It will be a positive thing for it breaks the strangle hold from the dominant Us position in the world. A balance of power will be a better deal rather than a dominating US, whereby the EU, China, Russia, US and the third world nations would balance out each other.It will be more challenging and many nations would have to adjust their economies.

Understand that though USA sends aid, shares advances, %26amp; spends money with other countries, that China gets huge chunks of the Money. China also has military advances such as long range nukes..

nothing really to worry about. the bird flu is going to wipe out asia. the U.S. will be back on top because we'll be the only country that can afford the drugs to combat the disease.
