Will China and India rise to become the global powers?

The have 2/5ths of the worlds population, so why not. China is pretty much a superpower anyway.

yup and they have us by the balls we even outsourced our personal lives with the virtual assistants based in bangalore and china making our helmets for the US military..see if we invade them we would die quckly as we don't have protection

China however is not. They have attacked us at least once a year since 1993
Reply:China has always been a force to deal with in the east....and India does have nuclear capabilities. Both of these countries can stand on their own and indeed will be a superpower. At the same time, do not dismiss Russia from coming back from the ashes of a once crumbling society to retain it's place in the global dominance as a superpower.
Reply:Both China and India are already super powers to a degree. With both of them currently, they are not the world watch dogs like the United States is. Within a few more years the national GNP of both counties should surpass ours and the amount of energy that they use will surpass our usage also if not already done so. It is only when you break it down per person that the United States looks so bad.
