Which country is best as second strongest in the world - Iran or China?

If we continue this war in Iraq and keep helping Israel kill innocent Lebanese the rich Arabs will get together and possibly make the greatest supporter to the Arabs stronger. This would be Iran. They would have all the good wealth, hatred for the West and intelligence to fight the West. They may make allies with old foes like Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Russia will also get rich since they have good oil reserves and this turmoil is making them richer.





If we get out of Iraq, Lebanon and stop threatening the Iranians with war we will help the rise of China as a second in command. This country has much jealousy from its surroundings - Japan, Korea and Vietnam since it was an underdog and now a superpower. It has many foes and currently is very much watched. It has low oil reserves and thereby a war with Arabs would weaken it. It does not hate Americans and has a lot of investments from outsiders. Going to war with China even if they were very powerful seems far fetched.

In October 2004, China's oil giant Sinopec Group signed a $70 billion oil and natural gas agreement with Iran. Sinopec Group will buy 250 million tons of liquefied natural gas over 30 years from Iran and develop the giant Yadavaran field. Iran is also committed to export 150,000 barrels per day of crude oil to China for 25 years at market prices after commissioning of the field.





China is taking a lead in manufacturing. Chinese people study till their eyeballs fall out and excel in technology. Chinese people save money, work hard and are very serious about their life. They play very little. They do not waste time. They are planning to mine the moon for Helium 3. Chang'e1 will be launched this December. Chang'e2 will be launched March 2007. That timetable is way ahead of any other country. Japan, India, Europe and the US all have plans for a moonbase and mining of Helium 3 but China will be there first. China is probably way ahead in fusion technology. China will not go to war with the US except in an economic way.

So when China has the Gold of the next century, Helium 3, they will be making the rules.

Nikolai Sevastianov, head of the Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (RKK Energiya)indicates that there will be a permanent station on the Moon by 2015 and lunar mining will begin in 2020.





G. Madhavan Nair, Chairman of Indian Space Research Organization indicates India's Chandrayaan-1 mission will be launched in 2007 from the Satish Dhawan Space Center atop that country’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-XL. The satellite will be placed in orbit around the Moon and have a lifetime of two years.





By contrast, NASA does not plan moon missions until 2008.





China may become the most powerful superpower in a very great leap forward.

In 1948 Arabs only had gunpowder, kirpans and russian rifles. No kidding they didn't bomb anyone.


Before WWII there were very few bombings worldwide because people didn't know much about them or have access to them.


Arabs are behind and have lots of money from oil that is why they are jealous, angry and will never succeed until they grow up. relying on a god to save you isn't going to do much for you.


The question is not about who has a stronger militarily but who is stronger as a country - national and international economy, worldwide acceptance, poverty level and military.

As for China vs the unmoraled Iran. No contest. China would be stronger militarily and intellectually.

China gets a lot of oil from Africa. But yes, we dont have a lot of beef with China at the moment. However, there is the technology theft of military secrets, our relationship with Tawian etc. There ar ea bunch of things we have to take into consideration. Hope politician are doing well at it. Diplomacy is the best answer.
